Shipping & Delivery Policy

This policy explains how products ordered through AgroZap are dispatched, transported, and delivered. AgroZap facilitates logistics coordination but is not itself a logistics provider. Sellers are responsible for dispatching goods, and third-party logistics partners handle transportation.

1. Dispatch Responsibility

  • Upon accepting a Purchase Order, the Seller is responsible for packing and dispatching the order within the committed dispatch timeline.
  • Standard dispatch timelines are stated at the time of order confirmation. Sellers must upload dispatch details (AWB number, logistics partner, invoice) within 24 hours of dispatch.
  • Failure to dispatch within the committed window must be communicated to the Buyer and AgroZap within the dispatch window. Non-communication may attract penalties per the Seller Policy.

2. Logistics Partners

AgroZap integrates with empanelled third-party logistics service providers. The logistics partner for each order is determined based on Seller preference, product type, destination pincode, and serviceability. AgroZap is not liable for the acts or omissions of logistics partners; however, AgroZap will facilitate dispute resolution with the logistics partner on behalf of Users.

Hazardous agrochemical products must be transported in compliance with the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules 2016 and other applicable transport regulations. Sellers are responsible for proper packaging, labelling, and documentation for hazardous goods.

3. Estimated Delivery Timelines

These are estimates only and not guaranteed delivery dates. AgroZap is not liable for delays caused by logistics partners, weather, strikes, customs, regulatory inspections, or force majeure events.

4. Order Tracking

Once dispatched, real-time tracking information (AWB/consignment number and logistics partner link) will be available in the Buyer's order dashboard. SMS and email updates are sent at key milestones: dispatch, out for delivery, and delivery.

5. Delivery Conditions

  • Delivery is made to the delivery address specified in the Purchase Order. Address changes after logistics booking are not guaranteed.
  • An authorised representative of the Buyer must be present to accept delivery. If delivery is attempted and the Buyer is unavailable, the logistics partner will attempt re-delivery (up to 2 attempts). After failed attempts, goods may be returned to the Seller and re-dispatch costs charged to the Buyer.
  • The Buyer must inspect the delivery at the time of receipt for visible damage or tampering before signing the Proof of Delivery (POD).

6. Damaged Goods Policy

Claims for damaged goods without contemporaneous evidence (photos, video, annotated POD) may not be accepted.

7. Proof of Delivery (POD)

A signed POD is required for all deliveries. Electronic POD (e-signature, OTP-based confirmation) is acceptable where supported by the logistics partner. The POD is conclusive evidence of delivery in good condition unless objections are noted at the time of signing.

8. Delays

In the event of a significant delay (beyond 150% of the estimated delivery timeline), the Buyer may raise a delay complaint. AgroZap will investigate with the logistics partner and provide a status update within 3 business days. If the order is confirmed lost in transit, replacement or refund shall be arranged per the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

9. Freight Charges

Freight charges, if applicable, are displayed at the time of order confirmation. These are determined by weight, volume, destination, and logistics partner rates. Freight charges are non-refundable unless the delay or loss is attributable to the logistics partner or Seller error.
